Antique/vintage mall with exclusive doll hospital & certified doll doctor
Be prepared to move very slowly when you enter Vintiques, because with every single step you’ll be greeted with a new visual feast. There are antique clocks and jewelry and collectibles of every imaginable type. And dolls. Lots and lots of dolls. In fact, Vintiques houses a lively metropolis with the diversity of an international city. There are china dolls, rare French porcelain dolls, stuffed animals, Barbie dolls, G.I. Joes, even Waldo dolls. Each of them seems to shine with its own unique personality, simply waiting to be noticed.
The mayor of this happy town is Annie Breault. She’s one of the few certified doll doctors in the area and has even studied her craft in Germany. Many of the dolls in her shop are past patients who she’s kept from a sad end in some trash bin. Some are in various states of health. For example, Breault brings out a stand full of disembodied Barbie heads. She’s treating them all for the dreaded Barbie “Green Ear Disease.”
“Early Barbies came with copper earrings,” Breault explains. “Over time, the copper turned their ears green. Fortunately, there’s a cure.”
