A New Look for Second Saturday

It’s a new year, and we have a new look for Second Saturday!

The Old Town Merchants Association (OTMA) will highlight a group of member businesses that fit with the theme or major events for each month. As Second Saturday has grown, businesses and patrons have shifted the way they experience this monthly event.

Instead of an Art Walk between 4 and 7 pm, each highlighted business will create their own Second Saturday schedule, providing everyone with a list of varied options, including specials, discounts, live music and events! These businesses have worked hard to make Bay St. Louis a place apart and Second Saturdays so special. Join us in celebrating them!

On this first Second Saturday in January, we start at Dolly Should central, the Mockingbird Café on South Second Street. Grab a cup of coffee and take a stroll on down the street where you will find some of Old Town’s most deeply rooted establishments with a couple of exciting new ventures sprinkled in.

Mockingbird Café | 110 South 2nd St.

Open 7 days, 7am – 2pm | Evenings vary

Celebrate the 8th Annual Dolly Should Event!

Get ready to embrace the spirit of Dolly Parton at the 8th Annual Dolly Should event (as in Dolly Should come to BSL), a community celebration packed with fun, music, and good-hearted giving. Live music from My Sweetie starts at 4 pm, and their soulful sounds will set the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening honoring everyone’s favorite country queen. One of the night’s highlights is the Dolly lookalike contest starting at 7 pm. Fans and Dolly enthusiasts are encouraged to don their best rhinestones, wigs, and big smiles to compete for prizes and bragging rights as the ultimate Dolly doppelgänger. The event also supports a great cause, a book drive benefiting the Hancock County Library System, helping spread Dolly’s legacy of literacy. By making a book donation, you will be making a meaningful impact in the local community.

In honor of the event, exclusive Dolly-inspired merchandise and a specially curated menu will be available at the Mockingbird Café. Many Old Town Merchant Association members will offer specials and Dolly tees as well.
