The Old Town Merchants Association is pleased to announce the return of Souper Mudfest, taking place Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Old Town Bay St. Louis. Now in its 18th year, this signature Second Saturday event brings together local artists, merchants, and visitors for a one of a kind celebration centered around handcrafted pottery, gourmet soup, and community spirit.

The Old Town Merchants Association (OTMA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the unique businesses, artists, and cultural heritage of Old Town Bay St. Louis. Through events like Dolly Should, Battle of the Bay, Souper Mudfest, Passport to BSL, Frida Fest, Witches Walk, and Santa Stroll, OTMA works year-round to foster economic growth, community engagement, and a vibrant small-town atmosphere that continues to make Bay St. Louis, one of the Gulf Coast’s most beloved destinations.

The 18th Annual Souper Mudfest will be held on March 14th. This year an entirely new event has been added making it the perfect weekend to grab a hotel and enjoy a couple days in Bay St. Louis. Introducing: Battle of the Bay – The Art of the Cocktail!

Each year, participating Mississippi artists create unique ceramic bowls that are sold to guests on the day of the event. Visitors who purchase a bowl receive a wristband granting them access to soup samplings from more than 27 participating Old Town merchants. Artists are compensated per bowl, merchants are reimbursed for soup, and remaining proceeds support the Old Town Merchants Association, with a portion again benefiting a local charity.

New for 2026, Souper Mudfest introduces several enhancements designed to elevate the guest experience. The event will be centralized at Rebecca Hall at Main Street United Methodist Church, providing a single convenient location for bowl sales and check-in. OTMA has also doubled volunteer staffing to ensure smooth operations, along with the addition of a VIP Friday night kickoff event, Battle of the Bay: The Art of the Cocktail, ahead of Saturday’s festivities.
