Murky Waters

126 Main St. Suite D
In the heart of Old Town Bay St. Louis, tucked away right off of Main Street, resides the popular Murky Waters. Known for its blues and BBQ, this beloved establishment is a destination for music lovers and barbeque fanatics alike.  In November 2021, the restaurant opened its fourth location at 126 Main Street, in the space formerly occupied by LuLu's. The renovated space features an in-house smoker, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a full bar with an impressive selection of whiskey, including rare brands like Blanton's and Weller.

As you approach the restaurant, the mouth-watering aroma of slow-smoked barbecue, seasoned with a dry rub and smoked with local pecan wood, will greet you and your appetite at the door. Inside, the sound of classic blues fills the air, performed by talented musicians whose portraits adorn the walls.

Murky Waters' large menu offers a range of creative BBQ dishes, including their award-winning wings and burnt ends. The restaurant also has a full bar that stretches across the back of the dining room. Each month, their talented bar staff and managers create a collection of unique, specialty drinks that can only be found at Murky Waters. This January, their craft cocktail collection features festive Mardi Gras specialty drinks.

With its friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere, Murky Waters is the perfect destination for a family outing, a nice evening out, or a night with friends. This Second Saturday, January 14, Murky Waters will host live music by Stephen Wade Scott from 6:30-9:30 pm in celebration of their hotspot status.
