Opening in the Fall of 2021, Beachside at Buoys is one of the newest additions to the Old Town dining community. Located on South Beach Boulevard, Beachside at Buoys features a gorgeous view of the bay along with made-to-order hand-crafted burgers, hand-cut fries, wings, wraps and more.
Beachside at Buoy’s Chef Joe spent many years as a chef in fine-dining restaurants in South Florida upon his graduation from Florida Culinary Institute. He decided to hang up his chef hat for the time being and move to the Bay to help his parents manage and run Bay Marina on Washington Street. Although Chef Joe enjoyed the family business, he always had a vision of opening his own restaurant near the water where he set the menu. In the short amount of time that Beachside at Buoys has been open they have made quite the impression. This “scratch kitchen” has recently been nominated for the Best Places to Eat 2022 in the categories of Best Sandwiches and Best Burgers in the Gulf Coast Woman magazine. In the upcoming months, Beachside at Buoys has some exciting plans including: expanding their menu, lengthening their operating hours, starting a burger challenge, and are looking at special events during the week ranging from local live acts to themed nights! Michelle Beauregard, co-owner, stated “We are expanding our menu to get ready for the warmer months. One of our owners spent a whole year on the New Jersey Shore, and she has been working to bring some boardwalk items to our menu”. Starting from Memorial Day (May 30th) Beachside at Buoys will be open 7 days a week until Labor Day (September 5th). In partnership with Buoys Bar, Beachside at Buoys is able to host local events like Krewe of Seahorse monthly membership meetings, birthday parties, receptions, etc. If you’re looking for something a little more exclusive, Chef Joe is available for events that require a private chef, as well as setting up family meals for those visiting on the weekend. You’ll want to be sure to stop by Beachside at Buoys this Second Saturday as they will be hosting a variety of specials including a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Hancock County Animal Shelter and live music performed by the Jay B.
