Second Saturday Artwalk Hot Spots - February 2022: Mon Amie Boutique & Dan B's

During the Second Saturday Art Walk each month in Old Town Bay St. Louis, you'll find cool deals, fresh meals and lots of art and live music!

Over the past 29 years, the monthly art walk has become one of the most popular events in the region. Old Town stays lively all day, with many merchants and restaurants offering specials. 

​The pace picks up from 4–7 pm, when gallery openings and live music keep the streets humming with activity. ​

Mon Amie Boutique

Chic, welcoming, inclusive. These are just a few of the qualities you’ll find to be true upon entering Mon Amie Boutique. With a stylish, yet affordable, selection of high-quality accessories and clothing ranging from XS to 3XL, Mon Amie Boutique is the perfect stop for fashion seekers of all body shapes, sizes and budgets.

Owner, Tonya Hamby, wanted to open Mon Amie Boutique in hopes to help with the frustrations of shopping that she and many of her friends were facing. Hamby elaborated one of these shopping problems as “finding age-appropriate clothing that’s still stylish and affordable while maintaining the standard of quality we expect as shoppers”. 

Mon Amie Boutique opened its brick-and-mortar a year ago in the depot district but recently moved into their new home at 153 Main Street this past November. When you walk into the boutique’s new spacious location, you will be warmly welcomed by their helpful staff and find the shop is elegantly staged flowing across various rooms. 

This small, woman-owned business takes pride in “personalizing your shopping experience, both in-person and online by customizing your fit and providing you affordable products and unmatched service from start to finish”. Mon Amie’s knowledgeable staff, stylish clothing, inclusive sizing, and elegant atmosphere has done a wonderful job in its endeavor to halt those shopping struggles.

This Second Saturday, Mon Amie Boutique will be serving refreshments and have live music sponsored by The People’s Bank and The First from 4pm to 7pm. Be sure to stop by Mon Amie Boutique and experience everything this posh Old Town shop has to offer.

Dan B Murphy's
​Restaurant & Bar

Located on Beach Blvd., in the heart of Old Town Bay St. Louis, you will find the lively Dan B. Murphy’s Restaurant & Bar, locally known as Dan B’s. 

This popular eatery and watering hole, originally opened in 1981 but was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. After purchasing Dan B’s from his grandparents in 2005, now owner Daniel Murphy, rebuilt and resurrected the family restaurant in 2017. 

Much different from the original structure, Dan B’s consists of three levels. You can find expansive, family-friendly dining rooms on the second and third floors that also feature a beautiful view of the harbor and bay. On the first floor you will find an open layout that hosts the main bar and stage area. The open-air environment of the first level presents a welcoming atmosphere with live music and an expansive bar that allows passersby a sneak peek into the party.

Dan B’s offers a variety of weekly specials including a steak night and live music. Steak Night is featured every Thursday from 5pm to 9pm which includes a 12-14oz ribeye, a baked potato, and green beans for only $18.95. Dan B’s also hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm to 11pm and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm every week.

During this February’s 2nd Saturday, Dan B. Murphy’s Restaurant and Bar will be open 8am - 11pm. Serving breakfast from 8am-10:30am, lunch and dinner from 11am-9pm, and live music from 7pm-11pm. Dan B’s will also be featuring a rocking show from the Will Wesley Band from 7pm-11pm sponsored by The People’s Bank and The First.
